TARGET AREA WELCOMES YOU TO TAKE ACTION!

WHO WE ARE

A Community Based Organization

Here at Target Area, we are awakening the spirit of leadership as a regional grassroots social justice organization with two offices in Illinois and sister organizations in Indiana, Michigan, and South Africa. We are building power in communities to solve stubborn problems using Research, Organizing, Mobilization, and Education (ROME).

OUR WORK

Making A Difference

Target Area is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure that those most affected by the issues are at the center of our work and are empowered to create positive long lasting change.

Reinforcing our Commitment

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. In order to ensure change, we must be willing to speak up about the systematic injustices plaguing the black and brown communities. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.

Creating safer streets and communities one day at a time.

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to build enough power in the community to solve stubborn problems. Public Safety has become a major issue in the city of Chicago and we are committed to finding ways to reduce crime and violence. We do this in several ways such as conflict mediation and teaching non-violence principles. Our teams are working each and every day to make a positive impact. Contact us to learn more about our commitment to created a safer city.

Lending a Helping Hand to Returning Citizens.

At Target Area, we are dedicated to continuing our efforts in addressing this issue. There are more than 20,000 returning citizens coming back to the community each year. We believe that it is our duty to help in making that Returning Process as seamless as possible. We believe we can facilitate progress in this area through communication, relationship building, and by connecting this population to the resources vital to becoming productive members of society. We invite you to learn more and lend your support.

“In order for evil to prevail, good men and women must say and do nothing.”
