Advocacy: TARGET Area engages Southside residents in a grassroots decision-making process that ultimately builds alliances and partnerships and promotes systemic change, social and economic justice, and mutual understanding.

What are TARGET Area ’s priority goals in advocacy?

Goal 1 - To train and develop new citizen leaders and community based organizations to be effective in advocating and attaining systemic changes within the areas of education, criminal justice reform, housing, community development, public safety, and health.

Goal 2 - To build a business-government-academia, and community collaborative that can construct a sensible response to the various issues of community concern.

Goal 3 – To build a shared policy agenda with communities of other ethnicities
